From being transformed into a cat to helping free Buckbeak and even landing a punch on Draco Malfoy, Felicity (Flick) Miles played a role in some of the most unforgettable moments in the Harry Potter films.

Flick served as Hermione’s double in the first three movies, closely matching Emma Watson in appearance from the ages of 10 to 14. This resemblance allowed her to step into scenes that didn’t require close-ups of Watson’s face. With strict child labor laws limiting young actors to four hours of work per day, body doubles like Miles were crucial in keeping production on schedule and ensuring continuity.

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Hermione Granger’s attempt to use Polyjuice Potion goes hilariously wrong when she accidentally adds cat hair instead of human hair while trying to impersonate Millicent Bulstrode. The mishap leaves her partially transformed, complete with fur, cat ears, and a tail, and confined to the Hospital Wing for weeks. Ironically, Watson experienced a mild allergic reaction to the test makeup, so Felicity stepped in to film the scene. It became one of her standout moments on set, particularly as she collaborated with the creature effects team.

Since her time in Harry Potter, Felicity has built a loyal following on Instagram, amassing more than 44,000 followers. She also hosts the podcast Behind The Wand: Stories from the Harry Potter Films, available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify, where she shares behind-the-scenes stories from the beloved franchise.
